Turquoise Cotton Kota Doria Saree, Jaal | Naazneen

Vines and leaves repeat in an all-over jaal across a bright turquoise Kota Doria cotton.

Why this piece

•
Light and semi-sheer — the open cotton weave stays cool and near-weightless; wear it over a petticoat with a fitted blouse for full cover.

•
Vine-and-leaf jaal — small vines and leaves repeat as a fine net, with narrow metallic bands at the edges.

•
Morning to dinner — from the morning function to dinner, never feels heavy.

The pattern

Small vines and leaves repeat as an all-over jaal across the bright turquoise body, on a translucent grid-textured ground, with narrow metallic-toned bands along the edges. The net is fine, so the colour stays the first thing you see.

The fabric

Kota Doria is a cotton khat weave of tiny square checks you can see against the light. It is semi-sheer by nature, which keeps it light from a morning function through to dinner.

Is this Kota Doria all cotton?
Yes — cotton in the open khat (square-check) weave. That open weave is what keeps this turquoise piece light, semi-sheer and breathable.

Is the pattern all-over or placed?
All-over — small vines and leaves repeat as a fine jaal across the whole body, on a grid-textured ground, with narrow metallic edges.

How sheer is it, and how should I pair it?
It is semi-sheer, as cotton Kota Doria is. Wear it over a petticoat with a fitted blouse; a teal or skin-tone petticoat keeps the ground even.

Does it come with a blouse piece, and how do I wash it?
Yes, a plain running blouse piece in the same Kota Doria is included, which you can get tailored to size. Handwash gently in cold water and dry in shade; the embroidery holds best with gentle care.
