The print

Most block print fills the cloth. This one does the opposite. The top carries flowers at wide intervals so the mustard reads as a solid from a few steps away, and the dupatta takes the fuller repeat.

Pink and blue against mustard is a contrast pairing rather than a tonal one, which is why the flowers read as separate objects instead of texture.

1. Will the pink and blue run into the mustard when I wash it?
No. The fabric is colour-fast and does not bleed on the first wash, which matters most on a light ground like mustard. Dry clean it before first wear, then hand wash gently in cold water.

2. How do I know the print is done by hand and not by machine?
Look along the repeat. Hand block printing leaves small register shifts where one block meets the next, and slight variation in how much colour each impression carries. A screen or machine print repeats identically every time; this one does not.

3. What does this unstitched set include?

6. What if the shade or the quality is not what I hoped?
