The print

A block is carved from wood by hand, inked, set down on the silk, lifted, moved along and set down again - and the whole length of the top is covered that way before the teal and violet blocks follow to lay in the accents. 1. Will the pink bleed when I wash this suit?
No. The fabric is colour-fast and does not bleed on the first wash. Dry clean it the first time, then a gentle cold hand wash keeps the print looking as it did on day one.

2. How can I tell this is really hand block printed?
Look closely at the repeat. Hand block printing is done by pressing a hand-carved wooden block onto the fabric again and again, so motifs sit at very slightly different distances and a colour occasionally steps a fraction outside its outline. A screen or machine print repeats identically every time.

3. What comes in the set and how much fabric is there?
