The print

The top is left mostly bare, with medium leaf motifs placed rather than repeated, so the pale pink ground and its soft sheen do most of the talking. The dupatta takes the opposite approach, filling with polka dots in mustard yellow and periwinkle blue before closing in a striped and geometric band at the lower edge.

Styling

The pastel base keeps it easy for office and daytime wear, and the busier dupatta lifts it for a festive lunch or a day wedding. Gold or oxidised silver both sit well against the mustard. It will not. The fabric is colour-fast and does not bleed on the first wash, which matters here because the mustard and periwinkle dots sit directly against a pale pink ground.

How do I know this is hand block printed and not machine printed?
